Power generation facilities are drivers of economic development. Solar projects are particularly unique in that they DO NOT REQUIRE ANY COUNTY SERVICES but produce substantial tax revenue.
With OVER $1 BILLION IN TOTAL INVESTMENT, Hope X Clay is expected to generate $X million of local wages and payments , $X million of local economic output – the equivalent of local GDP – and $X million in tax revenue over the life of the project.

Property Values
Research supports the conclusion that solar facilities have no impact on property values, as solar projects do not produce noise, odors, or blight commonly associated with the diminishment of property values.
Reclamation
The solar portion of the facility can be decommissioned at the end of its life and the land restored.
Supports Local Landowners
Landowners benefit from participating in energy projects through lease revenue, land sales and easement payments.
Preservation of Agricultural Land
Solar projects involve almost no impervious surface or long-term land disturbance, which allows the land to be returned to productive agricultural use at the end of the facility’s operational life – at which point the soil is typically even more productive and nutrient rich.
Enhancing the Natural Environment
Native grasses and pollinators enhance the natural environment, and mechanical vegetation management is used wherever possible to avoid chemical applications.
Significant Benefits for the Local Economy
The Hope X Clay Energy Complex will produce $X million in property taxes, generate $X million in local economic output, and create hundreds of jobs during construction – along with roughly a dozen full-time positions during project operations.
